When will monsoon arrive in Uttarakhand? IMD issued alert: Heavy rains and strong winds are expected in these districts

Rainfall continues from mountains to plains in Uttarakhand, bringing relief from the heat. The Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy rainfall and onset of monsoon in the next two days. Light to moderate rainfall is expected in many districts including Dehradun. An alert for heavy rainfall has been issued in Nainital and Bageshwar. There may be rain accompanied by thunder and lightning on the Chardham Yatra route as well.

Clouds have camped from the mountains to the plains in Uttarakhand. Light to moderate rainfall is continuing. The change in the weather for the last few days has brought relief from the scorching heat. However, there is mild humidity in some places in the plains.

Due to rain in most areas for the last few days, the temperature has remained below normal. Along with this, the sequence of rain is expected to continue for the next few days. Monsoon is expected to hit Uttarakhand by next Sunday. At the same time, there is also a warning of heavy rain in most areas of the state. According to the Meteorological Center, a warning has been issued regarding heavy rain in Nainital and Bageshwar today. Whereas, there are chances of partly cloudy weather and light to moderate rain in Dehradun, Tehri, Pauri, Almora etc. districts. At some places, there may be heavy showers and strong winds along with thunder and lightning. There may also be rain with thunder and lightning on the Chardham and Yatra route.
