Here’s a psychological thriller that will leave you stunned and completely shake your mind. What makes it even more intriguing is its IMDb rating of 7.6. The film doesn’t feature a typical hero but stars three top leading actresses. Its biggest highlight is the climax - a shocking twist that will stay with you long after the film ends. The movie is written and directed by Prasanth Varma (in his feature debut). It is produced by Nani and Prashanti Tipirneni under their maiden production house Wall Poster Cinema. The name of this Telugu film is Awe. It tells the story of a girl named Kali played by pan-India actress Kajal Aggarwal. Kali suffers from multiple personality disorder and experiences memory loss. The film begins with a man who builds a time travel machine and wants to go back in time to meet his parents whom he never got the chance to know. Parallelly there is a woman named Mira (played by Regina Cassandra) who is a drug addict. Mira works at a restaurant and along with her boyfriend Sugar plots to steal money from a wealthy investor. One day she finds a necklace inside a tree at the restaurant and keeps it for herself. Awe shows different and surprising stories of characters named Moksh Radha Meera Krish Naal Shiv Yogi and Parvati. But in the climax it is revealed that all these were mere dark imaginations. These characters represent the different dark phases of her life. When she feels burdened by her illness she commits suicide to end these imaginary characters. This film also features Nithya Menon in an important role. Apart from this Murali Sharma of Golmaal also has a special role. The film can be watched on Netflix.
