He played an important role in getting the title to Surrey, scoring a brilliant century in his first season. In domestic cricket, he plays T20, List A and First Class Cricket for Tamil Nadu. In the Ranji Trophy season of 2022-23, he made a first class debut and scored two brilliant centuries.

23 -year -old Sai Sudarshan caught everyone’s attention with his best batting in IPL 2025. He scored the highest 759 runs throughout the season and won the Orange Cap on the basis of his brilliant performance. Sudarshan scored 1 century and 6 half -centuries this season. After this great performance in the IPL, he got a chance in the Test team and now he is ready to prove his talent with the red ball.

The question arises that despite not having much experience in first -class cricket, why Sai Sudarshan got a chance to make a Test debut, while the team has experienced batsmen like Abhimanyu Ishwar, who have scored 27 centuries in first -class cricket.
