If you are active on any online platform like Google, Apple, Facebook, Telegram, then now be very cautious. The biggest data breakdown in the history of the Internet has been revealed, in which more than 16 billion login credentials have been leaked. This includes passwords to email and username. Experts are calling it the biggest online data theft case ever, which can be hit by billions of users from all over the world.
Cyber security researchers have warned that the leaked data is extremely fresh and cyber criminals can use it as a weapon for large -scale hacking and fishing attacks. The biggest concern is that these credentials have also been made available for sale on the dark web.
According to reports, this cyber attack is not just a recurrence of old events, but a fresh and extremely dangerous data leaked in 2025. Recently, 18.4 crore unprotected records were found on a server, but the investigation revealed that the real leak is much bigger than this. So far, 30 different datasets have been identified, each of which includes information from 10 crore to 3.5 billion users. These datasets have leaked information about social media, VPN services, developer tools, corporate accounts and even government portals.
Cyber experts said that this is not just a data leak, but is a complete blueprint for exploitation of users. If it is not stopped in time, then criminals can take any social account, email or banking profile of anyone. Given the seriousness of this danger, veteran companies like Google, Apple, Facebook and Telegram have been alerted.
Google has asked the Gmail users to increase the security of their accounts and adopt options like ‘Pasaki’ or two-factor authentication (2FA), moving beyond the traditional password. Apple has also advised its users to update security settings. Tech experts warning- If you suspect that your password is leaked, then change it immediately. Protect your accounts with passki and latest security tools.
Most people in India use Android and Google services. In such a situation, this danger increases even more because it is not clear what the leaked data belongs to. Every user should check security of Gmail, social media, banking apps etc. and the password should be replaced immediately.
Keep separate and strong passwords for each account
Activate two-factor authentication (2fa)
Use password manager
Avoid suspicious links and emails
Update devices and apps regularly
Adopt new security tools like Paski
