According to Znews, China Times reported that a staff member who began working at Wong’s center in March shared that she initially assumed celebrities like Wong might be distant or difficult to work with. However, her perception changed after witnessing Wong’s down-to-earth nature. The actress reportedly dresses simply, treats staff warmly, and provides feedback in a gentle, respectful manner.
Wong is said to begin her day before 6 a.m. and often works late into the evening. During fire moxibustion therapy sessions, she insists on personally monitoring the process and checking in frequently with clients to ensure their comfort.
She also tailors individual treatment plans and patiently answers health- questions. Well-versed in Buddhist teachings, Wong is known to use spiritual insights to counsel clients, promoting a positive mindset and improved mental well-being.
The staff member also shared a photo with Wong, who appeared in relaxed attire with her hands pressed together in greeting. Although she wears a face mask, social media users praised her radiant and composed appearance.
Now 58, Wong began her acting career at age 17 and rose to stardom with roles in iconic films such as “A Chinese Ghost Story,” “Green Snake,” “The Eagle Shooting Heroes,” “The Reincarnation of Golden Lotus,” and “God of Gamblers.” She became one of Asia’s top stars in the 1980s, widely recognized for her ethereal beauty and known as the “jade girl” for her pure, delicate screen presence.
Wong was previously in a long-term relationship with singer Chyi Chin, and the two had planned to marry in Tibet. However, they broke off the engagement after Wong discovered that Chyi had a child from a previous relationship. The child later sued Chyi for unpaid support.
In the 1990s, Wong’s “jade girl” image was challenged when her romantic involvement with Hong Kong tycoon Peter Lam—who was married at the time—came to light. According to Apple Daily, Lam reportedly gifted Wong a villa on Kotewall Road worth HK$13 million (US$1.7 million). Their relationship ended in 1996, reportedly after Lam began dating another actress.
Following the breakup, Wong gradually stepped away from the spotlight and took on fewer film roles. She relocated to Canada in 2004.
