2. T. Krishnamacharya: The father of modern yoga

He redefined the relationship between posture, pranayama and meditation and taught yoga to mold according to personal needs. 5. Maharishi Mahesh Yogi: The father of Transcendental Meditation (TM)
Maharishi Mahesh Yogi made the mantra-based ‘Transcendental Meditation’ (TM) popular all over the world. His teaching focused on calming the mind and attaining inner peace. His disciples included the famous British band ‘The Beatles’ and several Hollywood celebrities, which helped TM to make a global event.
