No longer worry about lost or stolen mobile – more than 20 lakh phones received from ‘Communication Saathi’

A digital platform named ‘Sanchar Saathi’ is now becoming a big support in cases of mobile theft and fraud. On Friday, Minister of State for Telecommunications, Dr. Chandra Shekhar Pemmasani informed that with the help of this portal, more than 20.28 lakh lost or stolen mobile phones have been detected, and the government has blocked more than 33.5 lakh mobile phones.

The minister said that the communication partner platform not only finds lost mobiles, but also helps people in reporting fake mobile connections, spam calls and fraud messages. The government’s goal is to create a safe and civil-centered digital ecosystem, in which technology becomes a tool for the safety of common people.

📦 Reached 4.64 lakh phone owners so far
According to sources, out of the reported cases, on an average, 22.9% phone has been recovered. Of these, 4.64 lakh phones have been sent to their real owners. This is a big achievement in itself and also the news of relief for the people.
