Meghan Markle was warned by a royal expert of potentially "running out of steam" following the Duchess's latest reveal that she will be selling wine with her As Ever brand. The Duchess of Sussex's restock launch took place on Friday, with some of her products selling out in minutes, while the whole "collection" was gone the next day.

But on As Ever's social media, the brand teased a new launch taking place "just in time for summer", which was no other than rosé wine - a product rumoured to be sold under her brand since last year. But a royal expert said that Meghan's latest flurry of product releases could have a less favourable outcome in the future, stressing that such a tactic would see the Duchess likely "running out of steam".

Royal author Hugo Vickers told The Sun: "If we're going to discuss every time she launches a new product, we might be very busy," he told The Sun.

"She obviously has to keep on producing more and more things in order to get attention, because if she just released more jam, I guess we wouldn't bother to talk about it."

He questioned how Meghan's wine will be any different compared to other celebrity wines, adding that it will "probably be more expensive".

Mr Vickers added: "I guess that she will keep doing more and more things like this. This is the world into which she's gone."

Asked by the outlet whether Meghan was "piggybacking off what others have done and found success in," the royal expert said: "That's probably right."

But he claimed that the strategy was "good," explaining: "You've got to kind of keep going out into the market, and you've got to keep pushing ideas forward, and if one of them takes off, so be it.

"I just wonder how much substance there is there."

He warned: "If she's not careful, she will run out of steam at some point."
