Weather Update: Monsoon is active in many different states across the country and it is raining continuously. Let us tell you that the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for Delhi for the next four days. Along with this, there is a possibility of thunderstorms with heavy rain in the capital and the winds will blow at a speed of about 40 kilometers per hour. A drop of 1-2 degrees Celsius can be recorded in temperature. On Saturday, the minimum temperature of Delhi is likely to be around 27 degrees and the maximum temperature is likely to be around 35 degrees Celsius. The Indian Meteorological Department has also warned of heavy to very heavy rains in many other states of the country. Continuous heavy rains have been predicted especially in Madhya Pradesh from June 22 to June 25.
Monsoon seems to be active in North-West India. Heavy rains are expected at many places in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and West Uttar Pradesh between 22 and 26 June. Rajasthan and East Uttar Pradesh may receive torrential rains from 20 to 24 June. Heavy rains are expected in Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh on 22, 25 and 26 June, while very heavy rains have been warned in East Uttar Pradesh between 22 and 24 June. Along with this, heavy rains are also expected in East Rajasthan, South Haryana, West Uttar Pradesh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand on 22 and 23 June.
Talking about South India, heavy rains may occur in various parts of Kerala and Karnataka during June 22 to 26. Strong surface winds are likely to blow in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana between June 22 and 24, whose speed can be up to 40 to 60 kilometers per hour. At the same time, hot and humid conditions may persist in many areas of Tamil Nadu during these dates.
The situation may get even worse in Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, where the Meteorological Department has issued a red alert. Extremely heavy rainfall was predicted in many areas of Gujarat on June 21, due to which alertness is needed in the affected areas.
