There is an alert of heavy rain (Monsoon Alert) in Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Jammu and Kashmir. Very heavy rainfall may occur in these areas on 22 June.
Strong winds, at a speed of 30-40 kmph, can cause obstruction on roads and increase the risk of landslides. Temperatures dropped in Delhi due to rain on Saturday, but the weather will remain humid for the next few days. Flood threat in central and eastern India
There is a possibility of heavy rain (Flood Warning) in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha from 23 to 27 June. Madhya Pradesh may receive more than 20 cm of rain on 23 June. There is an alert of very heavy rain in Chhattisgarh on 24 June.
There is a possibility of waterlogging and lightning in these states. There will be continuous rain in northeastern states like Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. People living on the river banks will have to be cautious.
Speed of monsoon in south and west
Gujarat, Goa, Konkan, Karnataka and Kerala will experience heavy rains (Coastal Flooding) and strong winds from 22 to 27 June. Very heavy rainfall is expected in Gujarat on 22 June.
