A 23-year-old B.Sc student reportedly took her own life in the Kotwali police jurisdiction of Mainpuri district. Authorities confirmed the incident on Sunday.

According to the Station House Officer (SHO) Fateh Bahadur Singh, the student, identified as Anjali, who resided in the village of Nagla Daulat, was found hanging in her room on Saturday night.

Upon receiving the report, police arrived at the scene and subsequently sent the body for an autopsy. The family of the deceased has not disclosed any reasons for her suicide and expressed their lack of knowledge regarding the circumstances surrounding her death. Investigations into the matter are currently underway.
