Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Sunday made an important announcement in Chhattisgarh and announced decisive action against Naxalism. He clarified that the central government aims to completely free the country from Naxalism by 31 March, 2026. He informed that the central and state governments are taking fast steps in this direction.
Shah said that this time Naxalites will not get relief even in the rain. The action of the security forces will not depend on the weather and the campaign will continue in every situation. He told that now the operation will run continuously, whatever the weather and the security forces are carrying out the campaign with full force.
He said that earlier Naxalites used to hide in inaccessible forests during rain, but now they will not get safe shelter anywhere. He bluntly warned that this is the best chance of surrender with the Naxalites. They should leave violence and return to the mainstream, because now the government’s policy is strict and clear.
The Home Minister appreciated the new surrender policy of the Chhattisgarh government and said that people who give up violence will give the way to respectable life and bright future. He has appealed to the Naxalites to participate in the development journey of the country and give up the path of violence.

He said that the deployment of police, expansion of basic facilities and education-health schemes have weakened the roots of Naxalism. He expressed confidence that if the Center and the state continue to work with coordination in this way, then the entire end of Naxalism is possible before the scheduled time.
