In a shocking incident, a man was beaten to death in a moving train in Baghpat district of Uttar Pradesh. Railway Police has arrested five accused in this case.

The incident took place on June 20 in Delhi-Shamli Passenger Train between Fakharpur Halt and Khekra Railway Station, when some youths allegedly assaulted a man. The seriously injured man was taken to Community Health Center Khekra, where doctors declared him dead.

According to media reports, a dispute broke out over sitting on the berth near Fakharpur station, after which 15-20 people together beat Deepak with kicks, punches and belts. This injured him badly. The assailants reportedly fled before the train stopped at Khekra station. A video of the incident is viral on social media.



Railway Police Deputy Superintendent Shweta Ashutosh said that the deceased has been identified as Deepak Yadav (39), resident of Patti Ahiran, Khekra police station in Baghpat district. She said that a case has been registered at the GRP Barot police station on the complaint of the family.

The Railway Deputy Superintendent of Police said that five accused were arrested in this case. He said that the arrested accused have been identified as Sanjeev alias Ponu, Rahul alias Baba, Vishal, Priyanshu and Siddharth alias Alice and all of them are residents of Khekra police station area. He said that the investigation of the case is going on.

Deepak was the only son of his parents. Deepak's family includes his wife, a 12-year-old daughter and a two-and-a-half-year-old son. Deepak worked in an electronics shop located in Bhagirath Palace, Delhi and used to come home every weekend.
