Protests Against US Military Action

On Sunday, Americans gathered in large numbers to voice their opposition to the recent military strikes by the US on critical nuclear sites in Iran. Demonstrations unfolded in New York City and outside the Oval Office, with heightened security measures in place. Hundreds of protesters carried signs and Palestinian flags, chanting slogans such as 'Hands Off Iran' and 'Stop The War On Iran' as they marched through the streets in a show of solidarity.

Details of the Military Operation

The US military operation, dubbed 'Operation Midnight Hammer', specifically targeted three significant nuclear facilities in Iran: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. Reports indicate that protests are anticipated to spread to other cities, including Washington DC and Boston. Demonstrators also directed their messages towards Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, urging him to cease military actions against Iran and the ongoing assault on Gaza.

Increased Security Measures

Earlier in the day, the New York City Police Department (NYPD) announced the deployment of additional resources across key locations in the city. In a statement on social media, the NYPD noted, 'We’re monitoring the situation in Iran closely. As a precaution, we are enhancing security at religious, cultural, and diplomatic sites throughout NYC and collaborating with federal agencies. We will keep a close watch for any potential impacts on the city.'

Confirmation of Military Action

US Defence Secretary Pete Hegseth confirmed the successful execution of 'Operation Midnight Hammer', which targeted the three nuclear sites in Iran.
