Bollywood’s ultimate fashion icon Sonam Kapoor just made a bold and heartwarming move donating 12 inches of her gorgeous hair to charity. The actress documented the moment on Instagram, delighting fans with her candid charm and style.

A Snip for a Cause
In the video, Sonam is seen at a salon, radiating excitement as she prepares to go “snip snip.” Holding up the freshly cut hair, she exclaimed, “It doesn’t seem like much on video, but it’s literally a foot of hair!” She playfully credited her long, healthy locks to her father, saying, “My hair’s become really long because of my genetics… i.e. Anil Kapoor.” Her longtime hairstylist Pete Burkill handled the transformation.

Even after the cut, Sonam’s tresses looked long and stunning, and the actress shared that she felt “very happy and refreshed.” In her caption, she wrote, “Decided to cut off 12 inches of my hair and give it away! @peteburkill thanks @anilskapoor for the genes.”

Upcoming Film and Nostalgic Hits
On the professional front, Sonam is gearing up for her return to the big screen with Battle for Bittora, an adaptation of Anuja Chauhan’s bestselling novel. The film, centered on two rival politicians in love, is being produced by Anil Kapoor’s production house in collaboration with Communication Network.

She recalled how the PRDP track “broke the internet” with Dubsmash videos, while Abhi Toh Party still finds a place in her personal dance playlist.

“I’m so touched people still love those songs. It brings me so much joy,” she said.
