News India Live, Digital Desk: Election Result: The results of the recent by -elections have come, in which the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has gained great success in Punjab, while it suffered defeat in Gujarat. AAP national convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has reacted to these results.

AAP’s big win in Punjab

Aam Aadmi Party candidate Mohinder Bhagat has registered a stunning victory in the by -election in Jalandhar West Assembly seat of Punjab. He defeated his close rival, Surinder Kaur of Congress by a huge margin of more than 28 thousand votes.

Arvind Kejriwal tweeted this victory expressing happiness. He said, “Congratulations to the people of Jalandhar West. This victory is a seal on the honest and working governance of Bhagwant Maan Sarkar. People are benefiting from ‘Zero Electricity Bill’ and other public interest work.”

This seat was first vacant due to the resignation of AAP MLA Sheetal Angurral, who later joined the BJP.

Got defeat in Gujarat, still congratulated

At the same time, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won in the by -election in Visavadar seat of Gujarat. BJP candidate Harshad Ribdia won here. The seat was earlier with AAP, but elections were held here after the resignation of MLA Bhupat Bhayani.

Interestingly, despite his party’s defeat, Arvind Kejriwal showed the game spirit and congratulated the BJP for his victory. He tweeted and said, “Congratulations to the BJP for winning the Visavadar seat of Gujarat.”

In this way, in these by-elections one seat went to AAP’s account and one seat was received by BJP, and Arvind Kejriwal gave a positive political message to celebrate his victory as well as congratulating his opponent.
