The iOS 18.5 update released by Apple recently released where came up with many new features. At the same time, now this update has become a big problem for thousands of iPhone users. Especially about Apple’s mail app, users are constantly complaining that it is not only freezing as soon as it opens, but the screen is becoming completely blank or white.

Technical disturbances coming in the mail app

After the iOS 18.5 update, as soon as users are opening the mail app, the screen is becoming completely white. The app is neither loading the interface nor showing old emails. Some users said that as soon as the app is opened, either gets freeze or it is closed on its own without any warning.

Inbox is also not being refreshed

Many iPhone users have told Reddit, Apple Support forums and social media that the list of their mails is not visible. No new mail is being opened in the app and neither is being refreshed inbox. However, they are getting mail alerts in the notification panel, which makes this problem more complicated.

Users angry over Apple’s silence

No official statement has come from Apple on this issue yet. Neither a bug fix update or software patch has been released. In such a situation, many users are having to stop their work, because the mail app is an important source of professional and personal communication for them.

It is expected that Apple may soon fix this bug through iOS 18.5.1 or iOS 18.6. Apple usually rolls out emergency updates for such problems, but no announcement has been made yet.

What to do till then users?

Until Apple fixes this bug, users may have to use alternative mail apps such as Gmail, Outlook or Yahoo Mail. Through these apps, users can reach out to their mails and avoid obstruction in any urgent work.
