Damoh (Madhya Pradesh): A prisoner from Damoh District Jail has been shifted to Shivpuri Jail after a video showing inmates waving from inside the prison went viral.
In this video, some inmates can be seen waving their hands towards the camera. The video appears to be shot from a high location outside the jail, clearly showing the inside area where prisoners were walking.

The video showed the accused from a short encounter case, Kaseem, meeting his family inside the jail.
After the video went viral in the form of a social media reel, the National Human Rights Commission also took notice.
Following this, jail officials decided to transfer him to another facility.
Meanwhile, another video from inside Damoh Jail surfaced on Sunday.
According to jail officials, there are some tall structures near the jail, including a nearby mosque with high minarets, which are even taller than the jail walls.
This has become a serious security concern for the administration.

He also mentioned that on Fridays, over 15,000 people visit the mosque near the jail, making it difficult to manage security.
He added that female visitors cannot be fully checked due to human rights restrictions, which sometimes leads to security lapses.
Collector Sudhir Kochar said that a report has been sent to the jail headquarters regarding the viral videos.
Efforts are being made to identify the person who recorded the videos. He added that they are planning to raise the height of the jail walls and take action against any nearby structures that pose a security threat.
SP Shrut Kirti Somvanshi said that while the jail administration is responsible for inside security, the police regularly patrol the outside area to maintain safety.
