Mumbai The opening batsman and captain of India’s Under-19 World Cup win Prithvi Shaw Done Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) No Objection Certificate (NOC) has been sought from so that he can play domestic cricket from another state. As soon as this news spread on social media, discussion started among fans and people started asking questions whether Prithvi is now going to leave Mumbai team.
According to Cricbuzz report, Shaw has written a letter to the Mumbai Cricket Association seeking NOC. 25 -year -old Shaw has received offers to play from many other states and are considering those options. The MCA has informed the members of its top council about this and may be released soon NOC.
MCA Secretary Abhay Hadap said with Cricbuzz, “They have sent us a letter for NOC. We have informed all the members of the council and we will soon give NOC.” The report also stated that Shaw has written in his letter that he has got a great opportunity to play professional cricket from another state, which will help in the development of his game. He has requested the MCA to issue NOC to him, so that he can play in that new state team in the next domestic season.
Shaw wrote in the letter, “At this time of my career, I have got a good chance to play in another state team, so that I can move forward. So I request you to give me NOC, so that I can represent that state.”
Shaw, who was once considered among the most promising young players of India, has seen success in his cricket career very quickly and then a fast decline. He soon made a place in the national team after winning India under-19 World Cup and caught everyone’s attention by scoring a century in his first Test match against the West Indies. But then suddenly his form deteriorated. Fitness problems also stopped their progress. His performance in domestic cricket was not good and he lost his place in Mumbai’s Ranji team. Recently, his name stopped selling in the IPL auction, which is a proof of his falling popularity.
