New Delhi. Scientists recently got an extremely powerful and mysterious radio signal from space (Space). The most surprising thing was that this signal came from a satellite called RELAY 2, which was launched by NASA in 1964 and which has been completely inactive for about 6 decades.

What is Relay 2?
Rlay 2, NASA had an experimental communication satellite, launched under the Relay program. It was sent to space in 1964. Its use was discontinued in 1965 and by 1967 all its technical equipment had become completely inactive.

How to get mysterious signal?
On June 13 last year, Australian scientists recorded a sharp and extremely small radio flash from Australia’s Square Km Era Pathfinder Telescope – which was less than 30 nanocycands. Classy James of Curtin University and his team initially thought that it could be a new Pulsar (Pulse -giving star) or any other astronomical item. But later on analyzing the source of the signal, it was found that it came from the relay 2 satellite, which was located about 20000 km from the Earth.

Is there a threat to a threat
Rlay 2 has been dead for decades, in such a situation, scientists expressed the possibility that this signal could have any external effect – such as plasma discharge caused by electrostatic discharge or micromatterite conflict. According to Bristol University Professor Carne Applein, “The incident may show how there are dangers associated with electrostatic discharge on space debis and small satellites and can find a new way to measure it.”
