Viktor Gyokeres has been spotted training with Tottenham’s Lucas Bergvall as speculation ramps up over his potential transfer to Arsenal.
Sporting CP star Gyokeres has been heavily linked with a move to the Gunners in recent months. The highly-rated striker, who netted 54 goals this season, is understood to be keen on joining Mikel Arteta's side, despite interest from his former boss Ruben Amorim at Manchester United.
Several factors have prevented his dream transfer from becoming a reality up to this point. They include Arsenal's simultaneous pursuit of Benjamin Sesko and Sporting not being obliged to accept a fee lower than Gyokeres' £84million release clause, contrary to initial reports.

Nevertheless, the 27-year-old Sweden international appears to be keeping himself in peak condition during the summer break. New footage emerged last week of Gyokeres training alongside Felix Beijmo of Aarhus and his international team-mate, Bergvall, who he could soon join in north London, albeit at rival clubs.
Bergvall moved to Tottenham in February 2024 for a £8.5m fee. He made 45 appearances for Spurs last season, playing a crucial role as his team won the Europa League.
The clip in question sends a message to his prospective new club, Arsenal, that Gyokeres is keeping himself in top shape ahead of a move, showcasing his devotion to his craft.
Record reports that Gyokeres has been following a daily training plan in Stockholm, Sweden with the intention of keeping fit ahead of the new season. The report also claims Gyokeres, who is under contract until 2028, has told his family he wants to play for the Gunners next season.
He is said to be looking to force through the move despite Sporting’s club president Frederico Varandas saying the club won’t be ‘blackmailed’ into letting their talisman leave on the cheap. A Bola claims Gyokeres has already threatened to go on strike.
However, Portuguese outlet Correio Da Manha reported on Monday that Sporting are prepared to accept a reduced fee of £68.5m for the Swedish international. The report states that Arteta is keen to sign Gyokeres before Arsenal's Asia tour in July, where they will face AC Milan, Newcastle and Spurs.
Yet, there are conflicting reports suggesting Arteta's priority is to secure a deal for RB Leipzig's Sesko. That would again rule out Gyokeres’ move.
Bild claimed last week that the Gunners have agreed personal terms with the Slovenian. Arsenal sporting director Andrea Berta has been negotiating with both clubs and their respective players in recent weeks.
