Dilip doshi died at age of 77 years: The Indian team is present in England for the five -match Test series. The first match of the series is being played in Handingley, Leeds. Meanwhile, a sad news came out. Former Team India veteran bowler Dilip Doshi passed away. Dilip Doshi, who played 33 Tests and 15 ODIs for India, breathed his life in London on Monday (June 23).

The death of Dilip Doshi, who played an important spinner for India in his time, is a big loss for Indian cricket. The left -arm spinner played international cricket for India between 1979 and 1983. Dilip Doshi was included in the list of players who started their career late. He made his Test debut at the age of 32.

Died of heart attack

Please tell that former spinner Dilip Doshi died due to a heart attack. Let us tell you that he had been living in London for a long time. He was born on 22 December 1947 in Rajkot, Gujarat. Dilip Doshi, a resident of Gujarat, played first class cricket for Bengal.

BCCI paid tribute

The Board of Control for Cricket in India i.e. BCCI paid tribute to the death of Dilip Doshi. Sharing a post on social media, the BCCI wrote, “BCCI mourns the tragic demise of former Indian spinner Dilip Doshi, who unfortunately died in London.”

Dileep Doshi’s International Career

Significantly, Dilip Doshi played 33 Tests and 15 ODIs in his international career. In 55 innings of the Test, he took 114 wickets at an average of 30.71. Apart from this, in 15 innings of ODI, Dileep took 22 wickets in his account at an average of 23.81.
