Delhi: A troubling event has emerged from Delhi, where a 23-year-old male patient is accused of sexually assaulting a female patient at Jag Pravesh Chandra (JPC) Hospital. The suspect, identified as Md. Faiz, a resident of Kachchi Khajuri, was admitted to the same ward as the victim. Following the incident, he was apprehended by the New Usmanpur Police on charges of molestation.
Authorities reported on Monday that a police team responded promptly after receiving alerts about the incident. Subsequently, a case was filed under applicable sections at the New Usmanpur Police Station, and an investigation is currently in progress.
This incident is not isolated. Earlier this month, a minor girl tragically lost her life following a sexual assault in Delhi, suffering severe facial injuries during the attack, according to police reports.
In another alarming case from April 2025 at Gurugram’s Medanta Hospital, a technician was arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a flight attendant. The accused reportedly committed 'digital rape' on a 26-year-old patient who was on a ventilator. The suspect, 25-year-old Deepak, had been employed at Medanta for five months after completing his degree in Operation Theatre Technology. Reports indicate he viewed pornographic material both before and after the assault.
