Tehran: The Iranian state media on Tuesday said a ceasefire between Iran and Israel came into effect at 7:30 am local time. The development came after Iran's missile strikes on Isareli, killing at least four people.

On Late Monday night, United States President Donald Trump announced a ceasefire agreement. Trump claimed that Israel and Iran had agreed to a "complete and total ceasefire" soon after Iran launched a limited missile attack Monday on a US military base in Qatar, retaliating for the American bombing of its nuclear sites.

Meanwhile, at least four people were killed in the Iranian missile attack on Israel's Be'er Sheva. The missile hit an apartment in the Israeli city. Several others were also reported to be injured in the missile attack.

Sirens were sounded in Israel due to a missile launch from Iran, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) said in an X post. The IDF also confirmed that Iran launched three missiles within an hour on Tuesday morning.
