Prime Minister Modi said through the X post, “We welcome the successful launch of the Space Mission with astronauts from India, Hungary, Poland and America. Indian astronaut, Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla is on the way to become the first Indian to visit the international space station. They have taken the wishes, expectations and aspirations of 1.4 billion Indians with them.
Shubhanshu Shukla’s message from space for the country
Indian astronaut Shubhanshu Shukla said, “Hello, my dear countrymen! We have returned to space after 41 years. This is a wonderful journey. We are revolving around the earth at a speed of 7.5 kilometers per second. My tricolor on my shoulders tell me that I am with all of you. This is not the beginning of my journey international space station (ISS). That all of you should be a part of this journey.

An Indian astronaut is going into space after 41 years
Indian Air Force Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla has been selected for this mission as part of an agreement between US space agency NASA and Indian agency ISRO. Shubhanshu will be the first Indian to visit the International Space Station and the second Indian to visit the space. 41 years before this, Rakesh Sharma traveled space in 1984 with a spacecraft of the Soviet Union.
What will Shubhanshu do on ISS?
Shubhanshu will stay there for 14 days and do 7 experiments, which have been prepared by Indian educational institutions. Most of them will be biological studies, such as seeing the impact on human health and organisms in space. In addition, they will experiment 5 more with NASA, which will collect data for long space missions. The experiments conducted in this mission will strengthen India’s Gaganyaan Mission.
