Entrepreneur Sunjay Kapur passed away from a fatal heart attack on June 12. Since then he and his ex-wife actress Karisma Kapoor have been in the headlines. Following Sunjays death videos and photos from their 2003 wedding have gone viral. It was a lavish ceremony attended by the whos who of Bollywood. Karisma Kapoor and Sunjay Kapurs wedding Known as one of the biggest weddings of the year Karisma and Sunjay got married in a Gurudwara as per Hindu and Sikh rituals. The ex-couple exchanged wedding vows at the Gurudwara followed by a grand ceremony at Karismas ancestral home Krishna Raj Bungalow in Mumbai. Many well-known personalities from the glamour political and business world attended the wedding. Many well-known names from the film industry also attended the occasion and one of them was actor Akshaye Khanna with whom Karisma was once rumoured to be getting married. Akshaye went on staged greeted the married couple and kissed Karisma on her hand. When Karisma Kapoor and Akshaye Khanna reportedly dated According to several reports Akshaye Khanna and Karisma Kapoor shared a strong bond. After her breakup with Ajay Devgn she found solace in Akshaye whom she considered a very good friend. Over time the two reportedly fell in love and even Randhir Kapoor is said to have approved of their relationship. However Karisma’s mother Babita did not support it. It was Babita who intervened and ultimately prevented the marriage from happening. Reports suggest that she was not in favor of Karisma getting married at a time when the actress was at the peak of her career. Being a private person Akshaye never spoke publicly about his relationship or breakup with the actress. Well Karisma and Sunjays marriage broke after 11 years. They mutually filed for divorce and their kids custody was given to the actress. However the divorce turned increasingly bitter when Karisma accused the businessman of domestic violence. In response to her claims Sanjay alleged that the actress had married him for his money and property. Their legal battle lasted for two years and the couple officially divorced in 2016.
