On Friday, President Droupadi Murmu conveyed her best wishes to the public on the occasion of the Jagannath Rath Yatra, expressing hopes for peace, friendship, and love across the globe.

During this annual event, the chariots of Lord Balabhadra, Goddess Subhadra, and Lord Jagannath are pulled from the Shri Jagannath Temple to the Shri Gundicha Temple in Puri. Millions of devotees gather in Puri to partake in this grand celebration.

Similar chariot processions are also held in various parts of the country. In a post on social media, Murmu stated, 'On the occasion of the Rath Yatra, I extend heartfelt greetings to the devotees of Lord Jagannath residing in India and abroad.'

She noted that witnessing Lord Balabhadra, Lord Jagannath, Goddess Subhadra, and Chakra Raja Sudarshan on the chariot provides a divine experience for millions of devotees. Murmu added, 'On this sacred occasion, I pray to Lord Jagannath for an atmosphere of peace, friendship, and love throughout the world.'
