Desk: South Star Vishnu Manchu’s Mumch Amailed film ‘Kannappa’ (Kannappa) has been released in theaters on 27 June 2025 i.e. in theaters from today. Before the film appeared on the big screen, Vishnu Manchu was seen in a pre-Release Event, where he spoke openly about the OTT release planning of the film. Nowadays films are purchased for OTT release before release. OTT owners also pay a great price for films running in the last. The makers also sell crores of business before release by selling OTTs of films.
Talking to the media, Vishnu Manchu told that his film Kannappa will be released on OTT only after completing 10 weeks in theaters. Vishnu Manchu said, “I have a very big freedom, my film will not come on OTT before 10 weeks. This is my deal and by the grace of God, I do not have the pressure to release. My sole purpose is to show the audience the best.”
‘Kannappa’ is the story of a young hunter named Thinnadu who is an atheist. However, on a lucky day, he discovers a Shiva Lingam in the forest and offers offerings to the idol. The film focuses on how that person becomes the biggest devotee of Lord Shiva with Hindu mythology. The story of Kannappa is based on mythological texts, which mentions the person being a saint.
While Kannappa will be seen in Vishnu Manchu in the lead role, Mohan Babu, R Sarathkumar, Arpit Ranka, Brahmanandam, Brahmaji, Shiva Balaji, Kaushal Manda, Rahul Madhav, Devraj, Mukesh Rishi, Raghu Babu, Preeti Mukundan and many other artists are included in the stars. In this fantasy action film, stars like Prabhas, Mohanlal, Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal will be seen doing cameo. Prabhas is ready to play the role of Rigvedic deity Rudra and his screen time will be around 45 minutes.
At the same time, Akshay Kumar and Kajal Aggarwal will play the role of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. Apart from this, Mohanlal tribal warriors will be seen in the role of Karata. This film is engaged in the theater and it is being clashed with Kajol’s film mother. The figures of the first day will prove who will be heavy on whom.
