Shefali Jariwala best remembered for her iconic appearance in the 2002 music video Kaanta Laga has tragically passed away at the age of 42. On Friday night Shefali reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest. Despite immediate efforts by her husband Parag Tyagi to reach her to Mumbais Bellevue Multispecialty Hospital doctors declared her dead upon arrival. The tragic and shocking news has left her devoted fans and colleagues in deep state of shock. When did Shefali Jariwala marry Parag Tyagi? As admirers try to cope with the sudden loss many are recalling Shefalis heartwarming marriage with actor Parag Tyagi. Their relationship was a testament to mutual understanding resilient bond and emotional availability. The couple first met through mutual friends at a dinner party. After a long and beautiful period of courtship they got married in 2014. Why Shefali Jariwalas first marriage broke up? Before her marriage to Parag Shefali had previously tied the knot with Meet Brothers fame Harmeet Singh. They got married in 2004 but decided to part ways in 2009. In earlier interview with ETimes Shefali expressed the mental distress that forced her to take the decision to end her marriage. It is very important to understand that you are not being appreciated. Not every kind of violence is physical. There is a lot of mental violence that also happens and you are very unhappy in your life. I think one of the reasons why I could make the decision for myself was because I was independent. I was making my own money. She said. Shefali also highlighted how societal expectations force women to avoid taking bold steps like divorce and prioritise external judgement over happiness. She added The biggest fear in our country is of society. Divorce is considered to be taboo but the way I have been raised is to not really care about society but just do what we feel is right. I could take such steps in my life and had strong support.
