Indian Airforce Agniveer Vayu 02/2026 Recruitment 2025: The Indian Air Force has released the notification of Agniveer Vayu Recruitment under the Agneepath Scheme. The minimum height for both male and female candidates for Agniveer Vayu Recruitment 2025 has been fixed at 152 cm. However, for candidates from hilly areas of Uttarakhand and North-Eastern states, this relaxation is up to 147 cm, while for candidates from Lakshadweep, it is 150 cm. Height relaxation is only available on the production of a proper certificate.
Weight Criteria
Weight in the Indian Air Force is determined in proportion to your age and height. Candidates with too much or too little weight may be disqualified during medical examination. It is important to maintain appropriate weight with a balanced diet and regular exercise.
Chest Measurement
For male candidates, the minimum chest circumference should be 77 cm and a minimum expansion of 5 cm is required on inhalation. For female candidates too, the chest should be well-shaped and expand by at least 5 cm. This is an important physical test that is considered a part of fitness.
General Health and Fitness
The candidate should be completely healthy, with no physical deformity, skin disease, infection, or other chronic disease. She should be mentally and physically fit enough to be able to work in any terrain and weather of the country.
Special rules for female candidates
Female candidates will have to undergo gynecological tests. Pregnancy will render the candidate ineligible at the time of recruitment. Also, if a woman is found to have any evidence of male-like physical characteristics or sex change, she will be rejected.
Eyesight standards
Each eye should have a minimum vision of 6/12 which can be corrected to 6/6 with the help of glasses. The range of refractive errors is set from +2.00 to -10.00 diopters, and color vision should also be normal.
Addiction, tattoos, and religious beliefs
The Indian Air Force has a zero-tolerance policy towards addiction. Candidates found to be abusing drugs can be dismissed. Tattoos are only allowed at specific places like the forearm or the back of the palm. Sikh candidates are allowed to keep hair, beard, and mustache as per religious beliefs.
