Prominent industrialist Sunjay Kapur passed away suddenly on June 12 after suffering a cardiac arrest. A week later Sunjays mortal remains were brought back to Delhi where he was laid to rest in a crematorium at Lodhi Road. For the uninitiated Sunjay Kapur is the ex-husband of actress Karisma Kapoor and the two shared two kids – Samaira and Kiaan Kapoor. Sunjay Kapur was one of the most well-known businessmen across the globe and had built a business worth Rs 10300 crore. With a humongous net worth a question that often arises is: who will inherit the money? Sunjay was married thrice. His first marriage was with Nandita Mahtani but they parted ways in 2000. Later in 2003 Kapur married Karisma Kapoor. However this marriage also did not sustain. They divorced in 2016. A year later Sunjay Kapur tied the knot with Priya Sachdev with whom he shared a son. Who Will Inherit Sunjay Kapurs Wealth? According to a media report Sunjay Kapurs company Sona Comstar had a net worth of Rs 31000 crore at the time of his death. On the other hand his personal net worth was Rs 13000 crore. While the will of the late businessman has not been disclosed media reports claim that the property and other assets of Sunjay Kapur will be divided among all the dependents. However a report by One India states that Safira Chatwal will get the largest portion of Sunjay Kapurs wealth. Who is Safira Chatwal? Safira Chatwal is Priya Sachdevs daughter. Priya was previously married to American actor Vikram Chatwal. The two had a daughter Safira Chatwal. Priya and Vikrams relationship did not work out and the two parted ways. Further Safira stayed with Priya and Sunjay also accepted her as his daughter. Under Indian law Sunjay adopted Safira as his daughter. With that she also has the same rights as Sunjays other children regarding his property and assets.
