Mumbai: Shefali Jariwala, renowned for her hit single Kaanta Laga, tragically passed away on Friday night, according to sources from the hospital.
At the age of 42, she was taken to Bellevue Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai by her husband, actor Parag Tyagi.
Reports indicate that she arrived at the hospital around 11:15 PM, where the attending physician pronounced her dead upon arrival.
While initial reports suggest that Jariwala suffered a heart attack, there has been no official confirmation from her family or representatives.
She gained fame through her appearances on reality shows, including the dance competition 'Nach Baliye' alongside her husband, and later on 'Bigg Boss 13', hosted by Salman Khan.
The news of her sudden passing has left many in the entertainment industry in shock, with friends and colleagues expressing their sorrow.
Singer Mika Singh shared his disbelief over the loss of his close friend, stating, "I’m deeply shocked, saddened, and feeling a heavy heart… Our beloved star and my dearest friend @shefalijariwala has left us. Still can’t believe it. You will always be remembered for your grace, smile, and spirit. Om Shanti."

Actor Kamya Punjabi expressed her sorrow, stating, "I can’t get over this news…my heart is sinking. Shefali."
Actor Aly Goni also paid tribute, writing, "RIP Shefali."
Shefali Jariwala first captured the public's attention in 2002 with her sensational hit Kaanta Laga, a remix of a classic Lata Mangeshkar song from the 1972 film Samadhi.
