New Delhi: Indian womens cricket team and RCBs star batter Smriti Mandhana have started the England tour with a bang. In the first match of the five-match T20 series against England Smriti scored a brilliant century and Team India beat England by 97 runs. She once again proved the power of her bat on the soil of England. She batted in a very stormy manner and surpassed Harmanpreet Kaur in a special list. Where did Smriti Mandhana create history? Smriti Mandhana scored fast runs from the beginning in this match and taught a lesson to every England bowler. She reached the 50-run mark in just 27 balls. After this Smriti Mandhana scored at a faster pace and completed her century in 51 balls. During this she hit 14 fours and 3 sixes. With this she became the second Indian batter to score a century in T20I. Earlier this feat was achieved by Harmanpreet Kaur. Then Harmanpreet Kaur had hit 15 boundaries in her century innings but Mandhana left her behind with 17 boundaries. Her innings included 15 fours and 3 sixes. Due to her innings the Indian team batting first in the match managed to score 210 runs for the loss of 5 wickets in 20 overs. Apart from Mandhana Harleen Deol also played an explosive innings. She scored 43 runs in 23 balls at a strike rate of 186.95 which included 7 fours. Who is the first Indian woman cricketer to do so? With this century innings Smriti Mandhana has made a big record in Indian cricket. She has become the first Indian woman player to score a century in all three formats. Before her no Indian woman player could do this feat. Apart from T20I she has scored 2 centuries in Tests and 11 centuries in ODIs.
