Noida News: Noida Authority has started the process of constructing two new underpasses on Noida-Greater Noida Expressway. For this, the Authority has started the utility survey of selected sites. In this survey, it is being ensured whether water, sewer, electricity, gas pipeline and cable lines are passing from the bottom. If a line exists, the concerned department will move it to another location. After this, all departments will provide NOC to start work, and then the civil department will hand over the project site to the selected agency.
According to Noida Authority, it is planned to be built in front of the underpass Sector-128 Sultanpur and Sector-146 Jhatta village. The underpass to be built in front of Sultanpur village will be between Sector-128, 129, 132 and 108. At the same time, Jhanta will be built in underpass sector-145, 146, 155 and 159. The construction of these underpasses will benefit residents of about 30 sectors and 20 villages. The length of Sultanpur underpass will be 731 meters and the length of Jhatta underpass will be 800 meters.
According to the Noida Authority, the construction cost of Jhatta underpass is Rs 99 crore 74 lakh, while the cost of Sultanpur underpass is estimated at around Rs 81 crore 61 lakh. Letters have been sent to all departments for utility survey. The agency has been selected for the construction of both underpasses and the utility survey has also started from Monday.
These underpasses will be constructed with diaphragm technology, so that walls can be built without excavation. This will prevent the problem of road collapse and waterlogging. The project will benefit from about 30 sectors and residents of 20 villages, which will facilitate travel to the drivers and reduce the problem of jam. The construction of these underpasses will benefit 10 lakh people.
In the last three years, three underpasses have already been constructed on the expressway, including Sector-142 Advent Underpass, Sector-152 Safipur underpass and Sector-96 underpasses.
