Dallas: South African stars of Texas Super Kings (TSK) performed brilliantly on the occasion as they won a 39 -run win over MI New York (MINY) and confirmed the place in the knockout phase of Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025. Captain Faf du Plessis led his second century of the season to lead from the front, while Donovan Ferrera performed brilliantly at the last moment to score 53 runs in 20 balls to reach TSK to a challenging score of 223/4. According to ESPNcricinfo, spinner Akil Hosen again performed brilliantly with the ball, as MINY could score only 184/9 runs despite Kieron Pollard’s 70 runs off 39 balls.

Du Plessis’s century was his eighth century in T20 cricket, leading him to top the fourth highest T20 centuries with players like Aaron Finch, Glenn Maxwell, Jose Butler, Michael Clinger and Rohit Sharma. Now he has 11,755 runs in 420 T20 matches. Taking advantage of this, Ferrera hit a sixth half -century by hitting a six off the third valid ball and equaled the fastest half -century in MLC history.
