Even though Virat Kohli has retired from Test and T20 cricket, but now another young cricketer from his family is ready to shine on the field. Virat’s nephew Aryveer Kohli will soon showcase his talent in the Delhi Premier League (DPL). Many emerging stars are attending the upcoming DPL auction to be held on 2 and 3 July, of which Aryveer is also prominent names.
Aryveer Kohli is a leg -spinner and is not a batsman like his uncle, but is making a mark as a bowler. He is undergoing training from Virat Kohli’s coach Rajkumar Sharma at West Delhi Cricket Academy. This season he has been kept in a C category. Last year, he registered in the Delhi Under-16 team. Earlier, he was often seen with Virat in Royal Challengers Bangalore’s jersey, but now he will come to the ground to make his own identity.
This time Virender Sehwag’s two sons will also participate in the Delhi Premier League. His elder son Aryveer Sehwag is a player of the under-19 team. He recently scored 297 runs against Meghalaya. He is kept in Categiri B. At the same time, his younger son Vedanta Sehwag plays in the under-16 team. Vedanta is an off -spinner and has also been included in B category.
This time the competition of two new teams in DPL will be more interesting. The franchisees of Outer Delhi and New Delhi will also be involved with six already existing teams. In the last season, Priyansh Arya created a panic by hitting 6 sixes off 6 balls and on its own, he got a deal of 3.80 crores in the IPL. This is the reason that this league is being considered a big platform for emerging players.
