Promoted Premier League side Burnley FC has reached an agreement in principle with Racing Club de Lens for the transfer of France U21 international midfielder Andy Diouf (22), according to RMC Sport. Two years ago, Diouf joined the Artois side on the back of a breakthrough campaign with FC Basel, in which Diouf was awarded the Best young player accolade in the Conference League.

Over two seasons at Stade Bollaert-Delelis, Diouf featured 67 times for Sang and goldlogging two goals and as many assists. It is expected that Lens will be able to recoup the €14m transfer fee they paid in the first place to buy the Stade Rennais Academy product. RMC Sport adds that Burnley and Lens have reached an €18 million agreement for the player.

However, Diouf is yet to give his green light to the move. The 22-year-old midfielder is also in talks with Crystal Palace.
