IBPS PO Notification 2025: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has released the notification for recruitment to 5208 Probationary Officer (PO) posts. The application process has started today i.e. 1 July 2025 and candidates can apply till 21 July 2025.

In which banks will recruitment be done?

Recruitment will be done in 11 government banks including Bank of Baroda, Bank of India, Bank of Maharashtra, Canara Bank, Central Bank of India, Indian Bank, Punjab National Bank, and UCO Bank.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Candidates are required to have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Government of India. The candidate must have a valid mark sheet/certificate on the date of registration.

Age Limit: The age of the applicant should be a minimum of 20 years and a maximum of 30 years as of 1st July 2025. This means that the candidate should not be born before 2nd July 1995 and after 1st July 2005. Apart from this, reserved category candidates have been given relaxation in the upper age limit.

Important changes in exam pattern
The prelims exam will now have three sections – English, Quantitative Aptitude, and Reasoning Ability. There will be 30 questions in the English section for which 30 marks are allotted and 20 minutes will be given. There will be 35 questions in the Quantitative Aptitude section (35 marks), for which 20 minutes will be given. There will also be 35 questions in the Reasoning section (35 marks), for which 20 minutes have been allotted. That is, there will be a total of 100 questions, for which 100 marks and 60 minutes will be allotted. A negative mark of 1/3 marks will also be applicable for every wrong answer.

The main exam will now include five sections. Reasoning and Computer Aptitude sections will have 40 questions which will be of 60 marks and 50 minutes will be allotted. Banking and Economy Awareness will have 35 questions (50 marks) and 25 minutes will be allotted for this. The English Language section will have 35 questions (40 marks) and 40 minutes will be allotted for this. There will be 35 questions (50 marks) for data interpretation and analysis and 45 minutes will be given.

Apart from this, there will also be a descriptive paper in which 2 questions (essay and letter writing) will be asked, which will be of 25 marks and 30 minutes will be given for this. In this way, the main exam will be a of total 225 marks.

Application fee

General, OBC, and EWS category candidates applying for IBPS PO Recruitment 2025 will have to pay a fee of ₹ 850. At the same time, the application fee for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Divyang (PWD), and female candidates of all categories has been fixed at ₹ 175.

Visit the official website of IBPS ibps.in

On the home page, click on 'IBPS PO 2025 Advertisement'.

Register by clicking on the 'New Registration' tab.

Fill the required details and click on submit.

Registration ID and Password will be generated.

Upload scanned photograph and signature.

Provide the required details like personal details, educational qualification, computer certification courses, bank preferences, etc.

Upload left thumb impression and handwritten declaration.

Now pay the application fee and click on submit.
