Chicago woman arrives in Pakistan for marriage

An American woman from Chicago, named Mandy, has arrived in Pakistan after forming a friendship with a young man on social media. The couple is set to get married soon according to Islamic traditions and local customs.

A video has gone viral on social media showing the arrival of another foreign woman in Pakistan after falling in love with a Pakistani man. The video captures the warm welcome she received at the airport, and she appeared visibly happy.

According to police, Mandy, who hails from the U.S. state of Illinois (Chicago), came to Pakistan to marry Sajid Zaib Khan, a young man from the Upper Dir district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The police stated that the couple met on Facebook, and their interaction gradually turned into a deep friendship lasting several years. Eventually, their bond transformed into love, prompting the American woman to travel all the way to Pakistan.

Sajid Zaib said that some time ago, Mandy proposed marriage to him, to which he agreed. They then took their families into confidence regarding their decision.

He added that Mandy arrived at Islamabad Airport on Sunday, where his family welcomed her with a bouquet. They plan to travel to his village soon and tie the knot after consulting with their relatives.

Speaking to the media, Mandy said this was her first time in Pakistan, and upon arrival, she realized how beautiful and peaceful the country is.
