Shefali Jariwala—the unforgettable Kaanta Laga girl who set the early 2000s ablaze with her edgy dance moves and fierce screen presence—has left the entertainment world in collective mourning. At just 42 Shefali passed away on June 27 2025 in her Mumbai residence reportedly following a sudden cardiac arrest. Her final rites were performed the next day by her husband actor Parag Tyagi at the Oshiwara crematorium. But what’s capturing hearts now is a quiet emotional flashback—recalled not by a co-star but by someone from her past who once held her hand through life. In a podcast with Bigg Boss 13 co-contestant Paras Chhabra Shefali had said “I want to be remembered as the Kaanta Laga girl till the day I die.”
