New Delhi. The monsoon has spread across the country nine days before its normal speed this year. While the monsoon usually takes time till July 8 to cover the whole of India, it has knocked on 29 June this year. With the arrival of monsoon, where heavy rains are coming in many states of the country, some states are recording very heavy rainfall.
Meanwhile, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a new warning. According to IMD, there is a possibility of extremely heavy rainfall in Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, Haryana and Rajasthan in the next six to seven days.
According to the latest update of the Indian Meteorological Department, the monsoon will show its full activism in large parts of northwest, central and eastern India for the next five to six days. The department has specially stated that heavy rains are also expected in states like Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim and Jharkhand. It is estimated that there may be continuous heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Odisha in the coming few days.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of heavy to very heavy rains in Konkan and parts of Goa, Central Maharashtra and Gujarat. Saurashtra and Kutch regions are expected to have good rains for the next seven days.
Apart from this, for the next seven days, there will be a possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall in different places in many states of the Northeast. The department has also forecast good rains in coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala and Karnataka in a few days of the week.
The Indian Meteorological Department has also stated last Monday that more than normal rainfall is expected across the country in July. Due to continuous and intense rains, there is also a possibility of flooding in many areas of the country. Given this possible threat, the department has advised officials of Central India, Uttarakhand and Haryana to be highly cautious.
