Heavy Rain Alert- IMD issued alert, warning of heavy rain in July

Friends, with the start of the new month, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning, according to reports, heavy rains are expected in many areas of the country in the month of July, especially in hilly areas, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has warned that the monsoon is getting stronger, concerns are increasing about floods and related dangers, especially in central India, Uttarakhand and Haryana, let's know the full details-

​​HIGHLIGHTS OF IMD JULY RAIN FORECAST

Above normal rainfall: Most parts of India, especially central and northern areas, are expected to receive more than an average of 28 cm of rain during July.

Heavy rain areas: Heavy rains are expected in eastern Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, Vidarbha, Telangana, Gujarat and Maharashtra.

Temperature Forecast:

Below normal temperatures are expected in many areas.

Above normal temperatures are expected in parts of the Northeast, Northwest, East and Southern Peninsula.

Flood-prone and high-risk areas

Uttarakhand and Haryana: Good rain is expected. Due to the origin of several south-flowing rivers from Uttarakhand, the IMD has warned of possible flooding in catchment areas, cities and towns, including Delhi.

Odisha:

Red alert has been issued for Balasore and Mayurbhanj districts.

Rivers like Subarnarekha, Budhabalang, Jalaka and Sono are rising rapidly.

Four blocks - Baliapal, Bhograi, Jaleswar and Basta - are expected to be most affected.

Eye on hill states

Himachal Pradesh

Orange alert has been issued for heavy to very heavy rain.

Rain is expected to continue till July 6.

Delhi and NCR:

Yellow alert (stay on alert) has been issued for most parts.

Some areas like north-west Delhi, Jhajjar, Bhiwani and Panipat are in the green zone (no immediate warning).
