Interest in OGC Nice forward Evann Guessand (24) is growing. Speaking upon the conclusion of the Ligue 1 season, Franck Haise sounded pessimistic regarding the club’s chances of retaining the Ivory Coast international.
Nice need to “buy to sell”, in the words of Haise, and Guessand is the most bankable asset in the current squad. Wolverhampton Wanderers initially showed interest in the forward, who came through the ranks at Nice. However, he was not keen on a move to Molineux.
However, competition for his signature is growing. Fenerbahçe are looking to push a deal, as per The team. The Turkish club are even ready to submit a €25m bid. However, Guessand himself seems reticent to such a move.
He wants to take his time before joining his next club. The striker could soon be provided with more options, too. The team understands that Brighton and Hove Albion and AS Roma also hold an interest.
