Udupi: A woman was killed after being run over by a private bus near the MIT College in Eshwarnagar, Manipal, on Wednesday evening on July 2.

According to preliminary information, the bus was travelling from Udupi towards Dharmasthala when the accident occurred. The woman came under the wheels of the moving bus, resulting in her body being severely mutilated.

The identity of the deceased is yet to be established.

Manipal police have visited the spot and are investigating the case.
