Weather Update: As the month of July started, the weather of the country has suddenly taken a turn. Rain brought relief from heat in Delhi-NCR

Light rain in the capital Delhi and surrounding areas has made the weather pleasant. It has been cloudy since morning and light drizzle is being seen at some places. The temperature has dropped and the air quality (AQI) has also reached the satisfactory category now. People troubled by the scorching heat and humidity have got relief and now people have started coming out freely. Similar weather is expected to continue for the next 2–3 days.

Monsoon effect intensifies in Madhya Pradesh, farmers benefit

Heavy rains are falling in many districts of Madhya Pradesh. The weather has become cold due to continuous rain in cities like Bhopal, Indore, Ujjain and Jabalpur. The temperature in Pachmarhi has dropped to 15.4 degrees. The Meteorological Department has issued yellow and orange alerts in 27 districts. Due to rain, the moisture in the fields has increased, due to which sowing work has started on time. However, waterlogging is also being seen in some low-lying areas.

Landslide threat with rain in Uttarakhand

While the rain has brought relief to the hilly areas of Uttarakhand, it is also a warning signal. Heavy rains are occurring in districts like Dehradun, Nainital, Tehri and Bageshwar. Movement on Rudraprayag and Yamunotri route has been affected due to landslides. The Meteorological Department has advised pilgrims to be extremely cautious and avoid unnecessary travel.

Monsoon effect seen in Haryana, farmers’ faces brightened

Heavy rains are occurring in districts like Karnal, Ambala, Yamunanagar, Panipat and Sonipat in Haryana. According to the “Weather Update”, heavy rain alert has been issued in 17 districts. The temperature has dropped by about 3 degrees. Due to sufficient moisture in the fields, suitable conditions have been created for paddy cultivation. However, people need to be cautious in view of the possibility of lightning and strong winds.

Monsoon sets record in Rajasthan, relief from water crisis

This time the monsoon in Rajasthan has performed much better than expected. So far, the state has received 128% more rain than normal. Heavy rains are continuing in districts like Jaipur, Kota, Ajmer, Alwar and Bharatpur. Churu has recorded 85.1 mm rainfall in 24 hours. More than 90 dams have been filled, which has brought great relief to the water-scarce areas of the state. Farmers will no longer face any problem in sowing Kharif crops.
