Farmers across India are eagerly waiting for the 20th installment of the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme, expected to be released in July 2025. However, a small error in your Aadhaar card could delay or even block your ₹2000 payment.
The Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) is a central government initiative that provides eligible farmers with ₹6000 annually, divided into three equal installments of ₹2000. While the 20th installment was expected by June, it did not arrive, leaving farmers anxious.
Now, it’s highly likely that the next payout will take place in early July. But farmers with discrepancies in their Aadhaar details—especially mismatches in their name—could face payment delays or rejection. If your name in the PM-KISAN database doesn’t exactly match your Aadhaar card, your installment may not be processed.
If there’s an error in your Aadhaar, especially your name, you must correct it right away. The government allows updates through both online and offline methods.
You can update your e-KYC details using the PM-Kisan Mobile App and Aadhaar FaceRD App. Here's how:
Download the "PM-Kisan Mobile App" and "Aadhaar FaceRD" App from the Play Store.
Login with your registered mobile number on the PM-Kisan App.
Navigate to the “Beneficiary Section”.
If the e-KYC status shows “No”, click on “e-KYC”.
Enter your Aadhaar number and allow the app to scan your face using the FaceRD app.
Once the face scan is successful, the e-KYC process will complete.
Your e-KYC status will be updated within 24 hours.
You can also visit your nearest Common Service Centre (CSC) for Aadhaar updates. The staff can assist you in correcting your name or completing your e-KYC process.
To ensure your details are correct and the installment is on its way, follow these steps:

Click on “Know Your Status”
Enter your Registration Number
If you don’t have it, click on “Know Your Registration Number”
Enter your mobile number or Aadhaar number, verify with OTP, and retrieve your details
If the name on your Aadhaar matches the database record, you're good to go
Make sure your bank account is linked with your Aadhaar, or the transfer will fail
As of now, there is no official announcement regarding the exact release date of the 20th installment. However, sources suggest that Prime Minister Narendra Modi could authorize the transfer in early July 2025.
The delay in June has increased pressure on the government, but officials indicate that payments will resume once verification processes are completed.
