The family of a YSR Congress Party supporter, who tragically lost his life after being allegedly run over by a vehicle in Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy's convoy, has raised concerns about the circumstances surrounding his death.
On Wednesday, the deceased's wife, Lordu Mary, along with other family members, visited Reddy's residence in Tadepalli. The incident occurred on June 18 when Reddy was en route to meet the family of a party leader in the village of Retapalla, located in the Palnadu district.
During this journey, C. Singayya was reportedly struck by a vehicle at the Etukuru junction in Guntur district, leading to his untimely demise. Following the incident, a case was filed against Reddy and others regarding the death.
Initially, police stated that Singayya was not hit by any vehicle from Reddy's convoy. However, they later revised their statement, citing additional evidence that indicated a vehicle from Reddy's convoy had indeed run over Singayya.
Mary expressed her doubts to reporters outside Reddy's residence, stating, “We are suspicious about the ambulance that transported Singayya to the hospital after he was injured. Something may have happened in the ambulance.”
She recounted receiving news of the accident via phone, adding, “He was speaking clearly in the ambulance. He had a minor injury on the right side of his chest. If he had no other injuries, how could he have died? We suspect something occurred in the ambulance.”
