People are travelling from across the country to get a taste of Wimbledon action this week, but tennis fans have been left stunned after Novak Djokovic made a "bold gesture" at the annual sporting event. The Serbian professional tennis player, 38, is set to take to the court today (Thursday, July 3), but he's already left fans a little surprised.

It was brought to people's attention on X, formerly known as Twitter, on Wednesday, July 2 when Djokovic was reportedly seen finishing a practice session. Although he's focused on preparing for the match, that didn't stop him from spending some time with his fans, as the sports star managed to show his "true colours" ahead of the big day.

Writing on X, a fan said: "Novak just finished his practice session and is now signing autographs to his army of fans." In the short clip, you can see dozens of people waiting in line hoping to meet their sporting hero, and he doesn't appear to disappoint.

When you watch the video, you can see he really takes the time to engage with his fans, sign autographs and stay with them for as long as he can. The fan followed up with another post, which read: "Nole Nole Nole."

Since the video was shared, it's been liked hundreds of times and people are clearly impressed by his kindness. He really showed how much he's willing to give back to fans.

Today (Thursday) all eyes will be on Djokovic's Wimbledon showdown with British star Dan Evans, as they are set to compete on day four. Djokovic is hoping to bag another singles title after his opening victory over Alexandre Muller on Tuesday.

Djokovic had an injury scare during his last match, but is now set to face another battle with Evans, who will be cheered on by a home crowd on Centre Court.

Meanwhile, British No.1 Jack Draper, who also has big dreams of getting his hands on this year's Wimbledon trophy, is set to take to the court too. The first match set to take place is Djokovic vs Evans on Centre Court, and it will start at 1.30pm.

After this, Iga Swiatek will take on Caty McNally in the women's singles. The action will then continue as Jannik Sinner will face off against Australian opponent Aleksandar Vukic.

It's set to be another action-packed day at Wimbeldon, with many eager to witness it all. So far this week, it's been reported some sports enthusiasts have been queuing hours to try and bag a seat at Centre Court.

On Tuesday, Djokovic requested a doctor to be called not long after losing the second set of the match to France's Alexandre Muller. He looked unwell after conversations took place during a medical break, and he was given a tablet to try and aid his symptoms.

Djokovic, who has been crowned Wimbledon champion seven times, was then able to get back into control, and eventually broke Muller's impressive resistance. In the end, he won 10 of the final 12 games after his medical time out.

It was a 6-1, 6-7 (7-9), 6-2, 6-2 victory. When he was questioned on court about what happened, Djokovic said he believed he may have had a stomach bug.

At the time, he also praised the doctor's "miracle pill" for enabling him to battle through the second round. "I went from feeling my absolutely best for a set and a half to my absolute worst for about 45 minutes," Djokovic said.

"Whether it was a stomach bug - I don't know what it is, but just struggled with that. The energy kind of kicked back after some doctor's miracle pills and I managed to finish the match on a good note."
