Mango Seed For Hair Growth: Eating mango in the summer season has its own pleasure. Mango is not only a delicious fruit, but also a unique boon for the health of hair. Yes, you must have heard the saying ‘Aam ke aam aur guthliyon ke daam’. That is, not only mango but its seed is also beneficial and useful, which you can take full advantage of. Mango seed is considered to be excellent for all hair problems and growth. But let’s know how to use it correctly.
Mango seed is rich in fatty acids like oleic and stearic acid, antioxidants and vitamins A, C and E. Especially the oil made from it is considered beneficial for the overall health of hair. The biggest feature of mango seed oil is its ability to increase collagen production on the scalp. Collagen strengthens the hair pores, which helps hair grow faster. This oil seals the moisture of the hair, reduces split ends and frizz.
Material
2-3 mango kernels (washed and dried), 1 cup carrier oil (coconut oil, olive oil or almond oil)
Method of making oil
– Choose ripe mangoes for this. After eating the fruit, wash the kernels thoroughly and dry them in the shade for a few days. It is important to dry the kernels properly, otherwise the oil may get spoiled due to moisture. Remove the outer cover of the kernel from the dry kernels, carefully break the hard shell of the kernel with a knife or hammer and take out the soft white kernel inside.
– Grind the kernels into fine pieces using a grater or food processor or grate them. This allows the nutrients to dissolve easily in the oil.
– Place the chopped kernels in a glass jar and add carrier oil to it, so that the kernels are completely immersed.
– Close the jar tightly and place it on a sunny window or warm place for 7-10 days. Shake the jar once daily.
– After 10 days, filter the mixture through a cheesecloth and pour it into a clean glass bottle. Your mango seed oil is ready.
– Warm a tablespoon of oil slightly and massage it on the scalp in a circular motion. Leave it on for 1-2 hours or overnight, then wash it off.
– Massage the scalp 2-3 times a week for hair growth. Once a week is enough for general care.
– Mix the oil with aloe vera gel or yogurt and apply it from roots to ends. Wash off with mild shampoo after 30 minutes.
– Rub a few drops of oil on your palms and apply it on frizzy ends or use it as a leave-in serum.
– Regular use will increase hair growth within 4-6 weeks.
– Hair fall is reduced and scalp texture is improved.
– Adding rosemary or peppermint essential oil gives even better results.
– Store the oil in a cool, dark place and do a patch test before first use.
