Comedian Bharti Singh popularly known as Comedy Queen and Lally has her birthday on 3 July. Bharti not only made a place in the hearts of the audience with her hard work talent and great sense of humor but also created a new history in the world of Indian comedy. Very few people know that this cheerful face which is making countless people laugh today was once in poverty. Bharti Singh overcame even the adverse circumstances with a smile and became one of the most favourite comedians of the country. She believes that comedy happens in poverty not in wealth.
Born on 3 July 1984 in Amritsar Punjab Bharti Singhs life did not start easily. She lost her father when she was just two years old. After this her mother Kamla Singh single-handedly raised Bharti and her siblings. For this her mother also worked from house to house.
What did Bharti reveal about her life?
In an interview Bharti recalled the difficult days of her childhood and said that the condition of her family had become so bad that they did not even have money to eat. In such a situation the leftover food of others became the means of filling the stomach for the family. Seeing the hard work of her mother and her sacrifice for the children Bharti decided that she would do something big for her mother and be successful in life.
Bharti who suffered from poverty in her childhood never gave up. She completed her studies and also won a gold medal in rifle shooting in college. But her life got a real direction when she entered the world of comedy.
What was Bhartis first job?
Bhartis comedy career started when she appeared in the fourth season of the stand-up comedy show The Great Indian Laughter Challenge. Her bubbly and cute character of Lalli in this show won the hearts of the audience. Her laughter funny punchlines and carefree style made her a star overnight. She was the second runner-up in this show. But this was the beginning of her career. After this Bharti never looked back.
After this Bharti slowly started climbing the ladder of success. She got a chance to work with big comedians like Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover. Her presence in Comedy Nights with Kapil and The Kapil Sharma Show made the shows even more interesting. Bhartis specialty is that she presents things of common life in her comedy in such a way that everyone feels connected to it.
Bharti left her mark in many TV shows. Her presence in reality shows like Comedy Circus Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Nach Baliye and Fear Factor: Khatron Ke Khiladi entertained the audience. But her real magic was seen in Laughter Chefs: Unlimited Entertainment where she appeared as the host. This show further enhanced her charismatic personality.
Bharti married writer and host Harsh Limbachiyaa in 2017 with whom she has worked in shows like Laughter Chefs. Their chemistry is amazing both on-screen and off-screen. Bharti gave birth to a son in 2022 whom she has named Lakshya and fondly calls Gola.
